Best Cloud Storage Options

I f you’ve been running out of space on your device, the easiest and probably the cheapest fix to that is signing up for one of the best cloud storage options. You may have different safety concerns related to cloud services, but if you select an option that is encrypted and secure, your data will be absolutely alright! In fact, you’ll be glad you signed up for cloud storage. Listed below are some options you can go for.

Sync.com

Sync.com provides great value and also super secure storage on the cloud. It is simple and easy to use, so anyone who isn't tech-savvy can easily use it. However, it can be a little slow.

Generally, Sync.com tops the list in a lot of different areas. You get 5 GB for free, and you can upgrade to 2 TB for only $8 a month ($96 annually). As time passes, Sync.com continues to add new features and improve its service.

Sync.com has six major packages, four for individuals and two for teams. Free has 5 GB, Mini has 200 GB at $5 per month, Solo Basic has 2000 GB at $8 per month, and Solo Professional has 6000 GB at only $20 per month.

For teams, Teams Standard has 1000 GB for $5 per month, and Teams Unlimited has unlimited storage for $15 per month. The pricing for team packages is per user account, not per package.

pCloud

Offering great value for money, pCloud has a number of different levels of encryption that you can select from. Unfortunately, encryption of the zero-knowledge sort is not free of cost.

To make up for that, pCloud has quite a clever and interesting virtual drive and has many servers available in the EU. Document integration is not possible, but you can use it on an unlimited number of devices.

Providing 10 GB for free, pCloud is priced at $7.99 per month for 2 TB. If you're looking to shift your music gallery online, opt for pCloud, as it has an integrated music player.

There are four plans you can select from. Free offers 10 GB storage, for free. Premium offers 500 GB storage, $4.86 a month (3-year plan). Premium Plus offers 2000 GB storage, $9.72 a month (3-year plan). Lastly, Business offers 1000 GB storage, for $7.99 per month per user (1-year plan).

Icedrive

Icedrive is a new cloud storage service, introduced in 2019. However, despite being new, it is very competitive in terms of pricing and the availability of features. Icedrive allows you to preview files that are encrypted and use a secure and safe Twofish algorithm.

While Icedrive does offer encryption that is zero-knowledge, this is not for free. There’s also a lack of variety in plans, and two-factor authentication is not available.

As for the plans, four basic plans exist. The first one is the Free plan, with a bandwidth limit of 3 GB and a storage limit of 10 GB. Lite allows a bandwidth limit of 250 GB, and a storage limit of 150 GB at $2.75 per month (3-year plan).

Pro allows a bandwidth of 2 TB, and a storage limit of 1000 GB at $6.36 per month (3-year plan). Pro+ allows a bandwidth of 8 TB and a storage limit of 5000 GB at $16.64 per month (3-year plan).

MEGA

MEGA provides a great amount of free storage and does not have any US servers. It offers zero-knowledge encryption and can be used on an unlimited number of devices. MEGA’s main focus is security, so you can be assured that your files will be accessible to nobody but you if you select MEGA.

MEGA used to offer 15 GB free, but now it offers 20 GB free. As for paid plans, MEGA offers five plans, Pro-Lite, Pro I, Pro II, Pro III, and Business. Pro-Lite offers 400 GB storage at $4.88 per month. Pro I offers 2000 GB at $9.77 per month. Pro II offers 8000 GB at $19.53 per month. Pro III offers 16000 GB at $29.30 per month.

Business takes it out of the park by offering 10485760 GB storage, equivalent to almost 10 PB, at $5.86 per month per user. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a lot of space, select MEGA. If you want lots of perks and file sharing, select Sync.com. If you’re looking for lifetime plans, go for pCloud or Icedrive.

All of these are the best cloud storage options available, and unlike mainstream cloud services, they’re quite affordable.
